Spokane Personal Injury-Jury Awards Plaintiff $1,337,180 In A Slip And Fall Case

A Washington King County Jury awarded a plaintiff $1,337,180 for slipping down a wet stairwell on a bus. The plaintiff slide from the top of the bus stairwell  to the sidewalk, fracturing the plaintiff’s left lower leg. The plaintiff subsequently required 3 surgeries. Testimony at trial established that, when wet, the stairwell became as slick as compact snow. Additionally, the plaintiff incurred $186,330 in medial expenses and lost approximately one year’s worth of pay.
